Nutritional and Supplemental Guidelines for Specific Diagnosis

PCOS GUIDELINES

Reduce consumption of sugar, refined carbohydrates and all nonfat and lowfat dairy products. Include protein with each carbohydrate serving. Do not adhere to “low fat” diets.

Supplements that stabilize blood sugar levels:

Chlorophyll

Inositol

NAC (N-Acetyl Cysteine)

Chromium Picolinate

Bitter melon

Fenugreek

Glucofunction (pure encapsulation)

ALA (alpha lipoic acid – sensitizes cells to insulin, helps liver detox) 200 ug/day

Shan Yao, Fu Ling mops up excess insulin

Palmetto for excess testosterone, undermines LH – Bai shao, Sheng Ma, Gan Cao helps reduce LH levels, too.

ENDOMETRIOSIS GUIDELINES

Reduce consumption of red meat and all hormonally treated animal products, including dairy.

Supplements which help reduce the internal inflammatory reaction to the endometrial cells include:

Full complement of antioxidants (Vitamins C, E, beta carotene, B12, and the minerals zinc and selenium)

OPC (oligomeric proanthocyanidins)

Fish oil, evening primrose oil, flaxseed oil

Wobenzym, Vitalzym – enzymes to help reduce inflammatory reactions: take between meals on an empty stomach

Nattokinase – breaks down clots once they have formed

Lower abdominal massage with topical application of castor oil (with frankincense and/or myrrh essential oils)

Herbs like Tao Ren, Hong Hua,

IMMUNOLOGIC ISSUES

No sugar, wheat, dairy.

Take glutathione for gluten sensitivity. Reduce all gluten containing grains.

Supplement with those for endometriosis

Include Wobenzym and Nattokinase or Vitalzym Extra Strength, between meals.

Take baby aspirin.

Take PABA along with B vitamins and at least 1000 ug Folic acid.

Take 250 mg. of OPC per day.

Take 2-3 capsultes of Biomega (Fish Oil) per day.

ADVANCED MATERNAL AGE, POOR OVARIAN RESPONSE, POOR EGG QUALITY DIAGNOSIS

Femoral massage to increase blood flow to the ovaries and uterus

Supplement the diet with wheat grass juice

Royal jelly

Co-Enzyme Q-10

Supplements to boost the essence – dong chong xia cao, tu si zi, fu pen zi, gou qi zi, che qian zi, wu wei zi, lu jiao jiao,

DHEA and L-Arginine can be used for Kidney yang vacuity without heat signs.

SPERM COUNT

Do not use a laptop on the lap or cell phone worn at the waist (there are new studies to back this up)

Avoid tight underwear, hot tubs, and excessive bike-riding, all which increase scrotal temperature and can reduce sperm counts.

Avoid concentrated soy supplements, non-organic produce, and hormonally treated animal products.

Decrease caffeine, try not to drink coffee, and limit alcohol intake. No nicotine. Limit all unnecessary over the counter and pharmaceutical medications. Include milk thistle tea during your period.

Eliminate microwaveable packaged foods, tetrapak products.

Reduce consumption of sugar, wheat, and dairy.

Include as many organic fruits and vegetables (especially locally grown) as possible.

Include plant protein, followed by organic eggs, fish, poultry, and then (non-hormonally treated) pork or beef.

Make room temperature water your primary beverage. Instead of plastic bottles (many of which contain PCBs) use filtered tap water.
